Politics can change lives. Done well, it helps people to do more of the things they love and are passionate about.

It protects that which needs protecting, supports those that need supporting, and fights for everyone – without fear or favour.

I’m standing to be our MP because we need that change.

The things that make the Wirral such an amazing place – the creativity, community and our beautiful natural spaces – are all still here.

But for too many of us, it’s a struggle. I don’t know anybody who isn’t finding ways to cut costs. As our MP, my top priority is to tackle the cost of living crisis.

We’re lucky to have some of the best specialist NHS hospitals in the country. But, the brilliant staff who work across our NHS are being let down. Waiting times are too long. The NHS must be fit and strong for current and future generations. Working with the NHS, embracing technology and focusing on early intervention is key. As our MP, I’ll champion this approach.

Unsuitable development, not right and not welcome, has threatened our Greenbelt. The community has stopped it and we must be ready to stop it again. As our MP, I will back the Council’s brownfield first position. We need to get building houses, but in the wrong place or without the accompanying infrastructure (schools, doctors, dentists), it would cause more problems than it solves.
